James Bond excursion in this island situated on the Andaman Sea, Phang-nga province is well known for the amazing natural beauty of its water, caves and mangrove forests. Phang Nga is a shallow bay with 42 islands, the most famous of which is the so-called James Bond Island, a 20 meters needle formed rock in the sea, which featured in the 1974 movie The Man with the Golden Gun. There are around 20 species of mangrove, 80 species of the birds, 70 fish species. Starting from 1981 the Phang Nga Bay was announced to be a National Park in order to protect its natural unique character.
Going on a trip to the National Park of Phang Nga, you find yourself in a world of caves, grottoes, stalactites and mangroves. You will enjoy canoeing between the mysterious cave tunnels and roots of mangrove trees growing right in the salt water. You will visit the most recognizable place in Phang Nga – James Bond Island and will have a Thai lunch in a Floating village Paniy, also known as the “village of sea gypsies“.
